The institute belongs to the Government of Bihar and is under the governance of the Department of Science, Technology & Technical Education, Patna (Bihar), and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The institute is affiliated with the Bihar State Board of Technical Education (DSTTE), Patna. Further, it is a co-education institute responsible for imparting industry-responsive Diploma level programs in the field of engineering, and technology to the students admitted as per norms stipulated by the Government of Bihar.
