Anti Ragging Cell

... The Anti-Ragging Committee is formed to prevent ragging and ensure a safe and secure environment for students. The committee is tasked with monitoring, addressing, and taking corrective actions in any incidents of ragging or harassment reported within the campus. The primary goal of the committee is to eliminate ragging and promote a healthy academic environment. SBTE maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy to ensure a safe, stress-free campus environment. Ragging is a criminal offense that can lead to permanent expulsion and legal prosecution.

Functions of the Anti-Ragging Committee

1.
Prevent Ragging: Ensuring strict adherence to anti-ragging laws and maintaining a zero-tolerance policy toward ragging.
2.
Investigate Complaints: The committee will investigate complaints related to ragging, taking immediate action to address grievances and preventing recurrence.
3.
Awareness Programs: Organizing awareness campaigns and workshops to educate students about thc negative effects of ragging and the legal consequences.
4.
Support Systems: The committee will set up a support system for victims of ragging, providing counseling and nccessary assistancc.
5.
Regular Monitoring: :Continuous monitoring of student behavior and maintaining vigilance to prevent any ragging activities.
6.
Coordination with Local Authorities: Coordination with local police and legal authorities for quick intervention if required.

Procedure for Complaints

1.
Filing Complaints: Students can file complaints either in writing or verbally. Complaints can be submitted to any of the members of the Anti-Ragging Committee.
2.
Confidentiality: The committee ensures full confidentiality in handling the complaints and assures that there will be no victimization.
3.
Action : The committee will take appropriate action as per the Anti-Ragging Act, which may include warning, suspension, or expulsion for those found guilty.
