The SHe-Box (Sexual Harassment Electronic Box) is an online portal launched by the Government of India where individuals can digitally file workplace sexual harassment complaints. When linked to a college, complaints filed through the SHe-Box portal are directly transmitted to the college's ICC for local inquiry and action.
Accepts formal written complaints of sexual harassment from female or male students, teaching staff, and non-teaching employees.
Holds a fair, unbiased, and confidential fact-finding inquiry, allowing both the complainant and the respondent to present statements and evidence.
Coordinates with the central SHe-Box portal to track, update, and resolve digital grievances assigned to the institution's jurisdiction.
Submits an inquiry report with disciplinary recommendations (such as warnings, suspension, or academic penalties) to the college administration if harassment is proven.
Conducts gender-sensitization workshops, seminars, and orientation programs to educate the campus community about the legal definitions of sexual harassment and student/staff rights.
